Draft · illustrative example

This is a real output of the VPAT Vault workflow (prompt 8, human review, prompt 9, then render_vpat.py), run once against a live scan of classiccottrell.ca. It is not a delivered VPAT, an audit, or a certification. Human review still required.

Evaluation methods

  • Automated scan only: axe-core 4.10.2 (the repo's own bundled extension/vendor/axe.min.js), run in a live, real-rendered Chromium page via Playwright 1.62.1, navigated to https://classiccottrell.ca over live network egress. Rule tags: wcag2a, wcag2aa, wcag21a, wcag21aa. Result types captured: violations, incomplete.
  • Scope: single page only (the homepage). No other site pages, no interaction states, no manual testing were performed as part of this example.
  • No manual keyboard testing, no screen reader testing, no zoom/reflow testing, and no human accessibility review were performed for this example. See review-notes.md in the source repository's example folder.
  • This report is a worked example produced to demonstrate the VPAT Vault prompt workflow (prompts 8 and 9) end to end. It is not a delivered VPAT and must not be used, cited, or represented as evidence of classiccottrell.ca's accessibility conformance.

Conformance criteria

0 criteria rated. 1 incomplete finding. A clean automated scan never justifies a Supports rating on its own (see Limitations below).

Limitations

  • DRAFT / EXAMPLE ONLY: this report is illustrative tooling output, not a reviewed or delivered VPAT. Do not distribute, cite, or rely on it as evidence of conformance.
  • The automated scan found zero entries in axe-core's violations array for the homepage. Per this project's contract (docs/manual-decisions.md CLAIM-001, AGENTS.md, and prompt 8's output_contract), a clean automated scan never justifies a Supports rating for any criterion, and no violations means no basis for a Partially Supports or Does Not Support rating either. Accordingly, the criteria table above is intentionally empty: no criterion could be honestly rated from this scan alone, and none was fabricated.
  • One axe-core result was flagged incomplete rather than a violation: WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum), Level AA, rule id color-contrast, on 9 elements where background color could not be determined because each element contains an image node. This is inconclusive automated output, not a confirmed defect, and is not represented as a rated criterion here. See draft-rows.md and review-notes.md in the source repository's example folder for the full detail and the manual verification steps a real reviewer would still need to perform (measuring actual rendered contrast against the background image at each flagged element).
  • Criteria that this automated scan structurally cannot clear regardless of the absence of violations, and that require manual testing before any rating: 2.1.1 Keyboard, 2.1.2 No Keyboard Trap, 2.4.3 Focus Order, 2.4.7 Focus Visible, 1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence, 3.3.1 Error Identification.
  • Scope is limited to the homepage of https://classiccottrell.ca only. Other pages referenced from the homepage (including /art, /writing, /projects, and the external shop.classiccottrell.ca link) were not scanned or reviewed.
  • No named human reviewer has reviewed this draft against source evidence per prompt 9's precondition. This JSON is provided only to demonstrate render_vpat.py against real repo tooling output, not as reviewed content ready for rendering to a buyer-facing report.

This report requires human review against source evidence and current ITI instructions before distribution.
